Authorial discussion with Andrijan Turan took place on December 10th 2010 at 11.20 a.m. in the State Scientific Library on Pribinova Street 1 in Košice. Within 17th year of Slovak festival of poetry called "Beniakove Chynorany", popular Slovak poet revealed the readers how was his latest collection of poems Origami created. Although poetry has always glorified an amorous emotion, Turan managed to depict it in a unique and modern poetic way. Authorial presentation was connected with autographs giving.
Andrijan Turan, born in 1962, is a poet, novelist and publicist, former member of Barbarian Generation. He lives in Záhorská Bystrica. In the weekly Slovak (Slovenka) he is engaged in theatre, movie, music, literature and fine arts. He cooperates with several literary journals for which he is reviewing poetry as well as prose. Until now, he published the following collections of poems: Echo in All Languages (1987), Night Lending of Pianos (1990), Sneha (1993), After-Midnight Honey (1997), Cradle from Snakes (1997), Second Rainbow (1999), Burning Angel (2005) and short story book Migration of Birds (2006).
